Why Elephants?
Elephants live in deeply connected herds, where care is shared
and no one carries the weight alone.
They protect, guide, and respond to one another with remarkable attunement, offering a powerful reflection of attunement and support.
Perinatal Support Access Program
Reduced-Fee Therapy for Pregnancy / First Year Postpartum for those who Qualify
Pregnancy and the first year postpartum can bring profound change. This period may also include emotional strain, trauma responses, identity shifts, relationship stress, grief, anxiety, depression, and financial pressure, especially during leave from employment or periods of unemployment.

To support access to care during this time, I offer a limited number of reduced-fee therapy spaces through this Perinatal Support Access Program.

Who this program is for
This program is available during pregnancy and throughout the first year postpartum.
When possible, priority is given earlier in the perinatal period, when support is often most needed.
This program is intended for individuals who are experiencing financial barriers to therapy while on leave from employment or unemployed.

Program structure
-
Up to 12 individual sessions
-
To be used within a 12-month period
-
Sessions are offered at a reduced fee of $150 per session
-
A limited number of program spaces are available at any given time

This program is designed to offer focused, time-limited support during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Requests received close to the end of the first postpartum year may not allow for full use of the program.

If ongoing therapy is desired after the program concludes, sessions may continue at the standard fee, based on availability.

Fees and insurance
My standard session fee is $265. The fee to see a therapist intern is less and varies.
The reduced rate offered through this program reflects a limited, needs-based access initiative and does not represent the standard fee for services is my office.

Receipts reflecting the fee paid for each session will be provided. Insurance reimbursement is determined by individual plans, and clients are responsible for confirming their own coverage.

Coordinated care
Support during the perinatal period often benefits from connection with other care providers, such as a family physician, nurse practitioner, or midwife.

As part of this program, there may be a greater emphasis on coordinated care. With your consent, communication with other providers may be recommended when clinically appropriate.

This program is informed by my work in perinatal mental health within public healthcare, including at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, where time-limited, continuity-based support was a core part of care. I observed the steadiness and relief that can come from knowing support is available over a defined period, rather than session to session. This offering reflects that model in a private practice context, providing structured, time-limited access to care while maintaining a sustainable and consistent clinical practice.
